Maintenance of portable pH meter

The portable pH meter is a commonly used measuring instrument. In order to ensure its accuracy and reliability, it needs to be well maintained.

First, keep the instrument clean. After each use, wipe the probe and the surface of the instrument gently with a clean damp cloth to remove dust and impurities. But be careful to avoid using detergents containing strong acids, strong alkalis or corrosives to avoid damaging the instrument.

It is very important to calibrate the probe regularly. According to the requirements of the instrument manual, use standard buffer solutions for calibration to ensure the accuracy of the measurement. The frequency of calibration should be determined according to the usage, and it is generally recommended to be performed regularly.

During use, avoid violent collisions or damage to the probe. Handle it with care to prevent damage to the sensitive parts of the probe.

When the portable pH meter is not in use, it should be properly stored. Store it in a dry, ventilated environment with appropriate temperature, avoid direct sunlight and humid places to avoid affecting the performance of the instrument.

If the probe is found to be faulty or the measurement is inaccurate, it should be repaired or replaced in time. Do not disassemble the probe by yourself to avoid more serious damage.

For battery-powered portable pH meters, pay attention to the status of the battery. Replace low-power batteries in time to avoid battery problems affecting the normal use of the instrument.

Between measuring different samples, clean the probe thoroughly to prevent cross-contamination from affecting the measurement results.

In addition, follow the instrument's manual for correct operation to avoid damage to the instrument due to improper operation.
